In the mix - MY TOP PICKS:

27 February 2006

Its been such a fucking bad day at Uni I can hardly begin to even explain. The sun was SCORCHING hot today! Got off to a bad start, woke up to the heat at 9 in the bloody morning. Geez, the horror! Yet, I was still quite positive about the start of Uni so I got out of bed to get to Uni early to be able to get a lot at the student parking. But low and behold, I'm 45 minutes early and every lot possible is filled. Surprise surprise. (can you sense my sarcarsm now?)

Parked on the verge instead of waiting in the heat for a lot that would never appear, waited for class & it was good. But things got screwed up for Annie & Collette and we had to settle all sorts of things with the student services. Went for my 2nd class only to realize I was enrolled in a completely wrong unit. (this is the part where all the vulgarities come in)

Well anyway, I won't go on. Basically, a lot of shit on the first friggin day of Uni. Hooray.

On a lighter note, Annie, Collette & Claire came over for dinner. I'd say we had a pretty good time. We're gonna have more dinners like these girls! No doubt there. Had a few stubbies, ate pasta, watched a dvd...lovely lovely! I'm so glad I hooked up with these girls last semester. They're a blast to be with!

I wanted to post this picture of Romain up in the last entry, but blogspot wouldn't seem to load it up. So here it is. I reckon its a hilarious picture (that he demanded to delete). Its from Malou's birthday and the plastic forks and knives just couldn't cut it. Pun intended. Haha.

A night of nostalgia and reminscing gone by, a tad sad yet a little up-lifting being able to share with someone who completely understands what I'm going through.

Met up with Claire for dinner tonight at my fav Sorrentos. We chatted on and on, trying to get to know each other, talked about everyone we knew last semester. Hardly knew her before, but I sure do hope I get to know her better this semester. Its nice to see a real familiar face from the old "group" before. I'm sure its harder for her, with Romain being so far and the fact that she always hung out with him even as good friends.

Went by the tav after dinner, some Uni bash going on. Everyone was almost completely smashed by the time we got there. It was a bit dead, but fun nevertheless. Laughing at friends' stupid antics is the best cure of sadness. However when we went back to KV, I was staring at Mimmi's apartment and felt a wave of sadness come over me. Looked over at Claire and she had the same look on her face.

Things are looking up slowly but surely, hopefully when Uni starts it all gets better.

Mimmi, Malou, Jennifer, Erika, Martien, Andy, Christina, Marie, Wicki, Annika, Nikelas and Romain...I miss you, and I wish you could all come back here. You guys were the life of all parties, and BBQs with you guys were the best!

XOXOXO

Finally able to post some pictures again now that I have my cable. Here's some photos of my darling niece Chantrea in a beautiful cheong sam i bought for her in Sydney. She looked sooooo adorable in that outfit I had to control myself from snapping away. She loves taking photos though, as you can see she's always smiling. The most gorgeous baby in my opinion, but of course I'm just bias. I can't help but want to buy every kid's clothing for her, its all so cute! She's a lucky girl, she is.

I tell my sister that Chantrea's got a crazy mama cuz she simply wants to buy everything that's cute for her dear daughter. It can't be helped, especially being a first time mother.

She looks just like her dad, don't you think?

So i'm back in perth where I can finally not have to worry about whether I'm able to use the internet or not, thus here I am blogging again. Hopefully I can jog my brain well enough to come up with an entry that won't bore the wits outta you..

It was an emotional time at the airport (again). It was the hardest for mom as it always is. She started avoiding me after breakfast, standing far away. She cried when I told her i was going in...truly a mother's pain can be felt in a daughter's heart. I know how hard it is for her that both her daughters are in Australia. Wasn't easy saying goodbye to friends either. I'll never get use to this, it will forever be hard. Airports are the worst place to be if someone's leaving.

Anyhows, reached home to find the power was out! Western Power screwed up so i couldn't clean up the mess the "glorious" spiders left me. I suppose it was in their plan to get me tangled up in their webs every where I walked. Finally cleaned out my room in time to be able to leave for the Waterford, the first one of the year! I swear it was completely insane today. It was packed fulla people I'd never seen before. Who knew we'd ever have to wait in line to get in?

Saw a few of the "regulars" like Meera, Bruce, Mick and a few others. It definitely was nice to catch up after a few months. However, Meera and I agreed it simply wasn't the same without Mimmi and everyone else present. They truly did make a difference, but its nice to know more people again. Its a little weird walking in not seeing the familiar familiar faces of those close to me...if only you guys could come to the Waterford one more time. Oh well, Annie's promised to come down with me, and Shane's my new waterford partner.

Looking forward to the new semester, and the new people.
